About
Parkinson Psychology
My Story
I am Amanda Parkinson, founder of Parkinson Psychology. I have been a Psychologist for over twenty years and first fell in love with learning how children learn from a young age.
I come from a family that include Teachers and was inspired by my older sisters enthusiasm and dedication to learn more about learning in order to assist her students.
This dedication rubbed off onto me and I soon moved from Psychology into Education and especially Special Education.
Although I enjoy helping individuals with their varying counselling needs I have a strong affiliation with Psychological and Educational assessments.
After many long years of working closely within schools, moving to a private company who provided both educational and cognitivce assessments, I have begun my own private business. Parkinson Psychology is where I endeavour to continue with the dedication of others to provide quality service and assist schools, parents and individuals discover learning and cognitive potentials through uncovering areas of strength and pinpointing areas of weakness and how to improve on these.
